 An award winning family run B&B situated in Princetown at the heart of stunning Dartmoor National Park. Duchy House is a historic Victorian building with six en-suite rooms, each with a Nespresso coffee machine, smart TV, free WiFi and complimentary toiletries. We are a two-minute walk from the village pubs, cafes and shops. 

If you enjoy cycling, walking or just relaxing then Duchy House is the perfect place to stay! You can walk in almost any direction and be on open moorland in less than five minutes.  There is also no shortage of fantastic cycling to be had right on our doorstep – Dartmoor is a cyclists dream.

We provide super comfy beds and a five star breakfast with a wide variety of homemade choices – from a locally sourced cooked breakfast to a healthy smoothie and everything in between –  leaving you refreshed and refuelled ready for the day ahead.

Muddy boots are welcome and we have dedicated secure bike storage, as well as mountain bikes available for hire.

We are both true Devonians with local knowledge and are happy to advise on the best cycling or walking routes, where to get the best coffee & cake or even explain why it’s jam on top!

We are very aware of the delicate and precious landscape that we live in and do everything we can to promote regenerative tourism.
